It was 81° F two days ago on Christmas, which set a new record for Christmas Day according to the National Weather Service. This morning, the 27th, I have almost all the windows to the house open. It's already close to 70° outside now at 11:15am.

This part of Texas is noted for having freakish weather, but this goes beyond Freakish into Weirdness territory.

Dairy Queens in the area are spontaneously bursting into flames.

I used to have some fashion sense, but my ex-wife got that along with the house when we got divorced.

OK, I'm making a half-hearted commitment to regularly post to my blog starting now. Since blogging is officially Old Skool these days (the expression "Old Skool" itself is now Old Skool, interestingly enough), it's up to me to courageously fly in the face of fashion and human progress and Twitter and begin flogging an obsolete dead horse, so to speak.

This also gives you, Dear Reader, a prime opportunity to check back in a month and mock me when you observe that I've not posted a damn thing more recent than this.

But what if I do continue to post? What will you do then? Will you prostrate yourself at my feet, wailing a lamentation, profusely apologizing while admitting your misjudgement? Will you acknowlege that I'm a person who actually possesses the willpower to regularly populate a blog?

Will you? I don't really care one way or the other, I'm just curious.

Oh, you've got a Twitter notification.
